Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling are both essential as underpinning skills for all hospitality personnel involved in the sale and service of alcohol and gambling activities in licensed premises. This includes licensees, gaming supervisors and gaming managers.
This course provides theses essential performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to work within the hospitality industry.
Participants are awarded a Statement of Attainment on successful completion of the course. They also receive an Interim Certificate which they take to a Service NSW centre which supplies a Competency Card and photo services.
Cards typically take three weeks to arrive after attending a Service NSW centre. Delay can mean expiry of the Interim Certificate’s 90-day work period with the result a student cannot work in relevant roles. Participants are encouraged to attend a Service NSW centre as soon as they complete the course, as soon as possible after the course is completed.
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to provide responsible service of alcohol and gambling services, and to assist those customers who may display issues with alcohol consumption or gambling.
Cancellation fees apply if enrolments are cancelled 3 or less days prior to the start date of the course.
